Plone on a dedicated server

We take care of the difficult bits. You get the performance.

A Plone site, whether for an Intranet or the Internet, can be resource hungry. To solve this, we now offer Plone hosting where you get your own dedicated server, a physical macine or a virtual server.

We put in and run the operating system and associated services for you. You get a dedicated machine for your Plone site, where you are free to install your own products.

In connection with the Plone hosting we also offer mail services with SMTP mail and IMAP. We also offer PostgreSQL database servers. We offer a variety of server hardware and backup solutions.

You get our own server, firewalled with ports open for WWW, Mail and SSH. 24 hour monitoring, UPS backup, diesel backup. We install Zope, Plone and Python for you. Operating system is Linux.

Backup
Incremental backup of server to another building, over encrypted
connection, every night.

Configuration and service
Currently, Plone 3 or 2.52 with matching Zope and python. One Zope instance (more on request). Operating system is Linux CentOS 5 (Open Source version of Red Hat Enterprise server) or Debian. PostgreSQL or MySQL database server. We take care of the operating system and associated services (updates, patches).

We do not upgrade Zope/Plone/Python automatically, since that might break compatibility with your
sites.
